Afterwards, he attended a <em>Te Deum<\/em> at the cathedral of Notre Dame.<\/p>\n<p>Following the success of <a href=\"https:\/\/secondbysecondworldwar.com\/?p=6049\">Operation Overlord<\/a> and of <a href=\"https:\/\/secondbysecondworldwar.com\/?p=6111\">Operation Dragoon<\/a>, the Allies were established in both the north and the south.
