(Her mother has been arrested for her work in the Resistance and an earlier diary entry describes H\u00e9l\u00e8ne&#8217;s visit to the prison to see her mother, thin, pale, but still in good spirits.)<\/p>\n<p><em>That she hear news<\/em> from her father (who had been languishing in a German P-o-W camp but has escaped).<\/p>\n<p><em>That she become stronger<\/em> and more courageous.<\/p>\n<p>H\u00e9l\u00e8ne&#8217;s diary, like the war, will continue.
